We take pride in selecting owners for our puppies that will be committed to the lifetime development of their dog. You not only gain a new furry family member, but also lifelong friends in your breeders who will ALWAYS be available to help and advise, sharing in the joys and the milestones along the way. If you are looking for a breeder who will take your money and walk away, without any interest in the future well-being of the puppy, then we respectively ask you to look elsewhere.

It is our #1 priority to make a lifelong bond with our new puppy families. If any any time you have an issue, please
never hesisate to contact us, which is the easiest way to clear up any issue(s) that may arise. Our goal is to connect you with a puppy than can be a part of your family for many years to come.

We only approve families that have demonstrated to us that they are ready for a long-term commitment and with this we take a very personal approach to assisting each home with the selection of the perfect puppy to meet their needs. Because our approach is so personal, we maintain a high level of contact with our families, answering questions, phone calls and emails and expect the same in return. We have a Facebook group for all of our puppy homes to keep in touch, ask questions, plan meet ups and share photos and videos of their puppies adventures.

The only way to describe what Lynsay & Evan have been able to build from the ground up is "family".

It's been about 4 years since I joined the NovaMal family when I welcomed Barney into my life from their first litter of puppies.

NovaMal is intimately familiar with the Alaskan Malamute breed and its unique characteristics/needs, and so they can expertly match their dogs to homes where they will thrive. The experience from the beginning until now has been absolutely amazing. I appreciated the thorough application process and evaluation of myself as a good fit for one of their precious pups.
They always have the best interest of their puppies at heart and it still shows today as they keep in regular contact with most, if not all, of the dogs and their families from each litter. Lynsay and Evan, along with the rest of the NovaMal family, are only ever a message or a call away to answer questions or provide any support that they can.

For anyone looking to add a Malamute to their family, I would give NovaMal the highest recommendation. At the very least, you'll walk away more informed about malamutes and their needs. At most, you'll add an incredible furry member to your family along with a growing support network.

Tina Coolen, Jamie Curry and Hurley "NovaMals Catch a Wave"

Dear Lynsay and Evan,

I’d like to take the time to thank you for opening up your hearts and home to Hurley whenever we need and most recently when I had to go away for my diagnostic cancer testing.

As you know, Hurley is our third Malamute and over the years, I have grown to appreciate the breed for more than just a loving pet and companion. Malamutes are truly the best!
The time and energy you put into raising your dogs, training your dogs and ensuring you breed only the best dogs and the best of the breed is incredible. You have supported us through the puppy phases, the teenage phases and now the adult phase!  I can always call you for advice anytime day or night.

You are the epitome of a human grandparent to Hurley and have become family to us. I take comfort in knowing you stand behind your dogs, your breeding and the relationships you have nurtured along the way.

I would recommend you and your Malamutes to anyone, anywhere, anytime .. any place. My only regret is that I don’t have more of your dogs filling up our household. I’m sure I will be seeing you throughout my journey to heath, and Hurley-wups is looking forward to going to grandmas and grandpas in the very near future.

Thanks again for being who you both are.. as humans and as canine superhero’s!

Love you guys!

Lynsay and Evan are passionate about Alaskan Malamutes, they carefully plan litters to ensure healthy genetics with integrity.
The most outstanding feature is their deep love for all of their puppies and dedication to placing the puppies with compatible families based on temperament.
They are committed to watching the puppies grow and develop, and provide ongoing support through a Facebook group for all NovaMal families to connect, share stories and ask questions; Lynsay has also arranged free live professional training webinars to answer personalized questions!
Lynsay and Evan want to ensure the best match possible with families prior to adoption. In person visits with the puppies, getting to know each other, and puppy evaluations are part of this process. Prior to adoption they work hard with their puppies to begin the training process with regards to toileting, feet desensitization, and socialization with exposure to other animals, people, sounds, textures and locations. Once we received our puppy, beginning training was
simplified with such a strong foundation. However, whenever we have questions we feel comfortable contacting Lynsay and she quickly responds with reassurance and advice.

When adopting a Malamute from Lynsay and Evan, you gain not only a beautifully tempered, healthy dog, but a nonjudgmental family and support system.

 "NovaMals Mighty Autumn Hammer"

ello to future malamute owners, My story started when I first reached out to Novamal in early 2019 , I lived in Ontario at the time, having lost my first Malamute late 2018. I had done some research on different breeders. But i had chose Novamal for two reasons 1 I was moving to Nova Scotia 2 I picked Novamal for the commitment I saw first hand not just the care and love put into the Malamutes they had but the patience they had with me. we had lost contact for a period of time and through the help of another breeder who knew them ,  they had offered to assist and gave them my contact information , and they had gotten in touch with me, I was excited at that point beyond imagination. When I had gotten settled in Nova Scotia. We did a meet and greet and started the wheels on a possible purchase.I thought there was a good vibe and at that point it was wait and see how things progressed with the process of a breeding. Well when that was confirmed It was pins and needles for me on getting what we had agreed

on for a male pup. As all worked out for me getting a puppy from them we had a few more visits with the pups. It worked out so well for the temperament and placement for me I couldn’t have been more happy with the outcome. They are by far the most responsible breeders I have met, they know what they are doing I highly recommend Novamal for their commitment and dedication, education and the time effort and love they put into the breed itself. I am very proud to be a part of the Novamal family It give's great pleaser saying this because they are just great

"NovaMals Seas the Day"

We first met with Lynsay, Evan, Mav and Maida, after sending in a puppy application, and by the time we left their place, we knew we’d found our breeder!

Lynsay answered all our questions and believe me there were a lot!

She kept us in the loop before our pup was born and continues to be our go to with any questions/concerns as our boy has matured.

We love being part of NovaMal growing family and enjoy seeing our boy reunite with his “birth” family as the years go by.
When/if the time comes for a second pup there’ll be no hesitation as to where we’ll be going.
